"Intimacy with God" (HS) - 06.13.18

High School Message
God doesn't desire distant conformity but intimate relationship that leads to obedience and becoming like Him.  Many have a relationship with God that is more like a vending machine or an unwanted lover.  It' important to evaluate how close we really are to God and whether or not we're truly in a loving relationship with Him at all.  Then we can figure out how to knowHim better and love Him more.

Setting your mind on the things of heaven - on God's reality - and letting go of what one has previously considered "normal" is a lot like learning that the Matrix isn't real and how to live like it's a lie and a trap.  We must see this place for what is it and focus on God's eternal reality instead.
